In October 2024, I traveled through Argentine Patagonia to photograph its raw, untamed beauty as spring began to take hold. Starting in El Calafate, I visited the massive Perito Moreno Glacier—an ever-shifting wall of blue ice—before heading north to the mountain town of El Chaltén. From there, I hiked through lenga forests and alpine trails to reach iconic spots like Laguna de los Tres, where sunrise lit up the spires of Mount Fitz Roy in golden light. Other lakes like Laguna Capri and Laguna Torre offered their own quiet drama, with reflections, low clouds, and sudden bursts of sun. With fewer crowds and ever-changing skies, October gave me space to slow down, chase the light, and capture Patagonia at its most atmospheric.
